Who we are

Our Story: Building the Tri-Cities, brick by brick, since 1950

In 1950, Lincoln Mahaffey founded Mahaffey Enterprises with a simple, powerful vision: to build a better future for the Tri-Cities community. His passion for construction went far beyond a 9-to-5 job; he saw every project as an opportunity to help this region grow and thrive. From operating the cranes during the first hydroplane races to forming an excavation company, Lincoln's dedication laid the foundation for a company built on family values and community partnership.

For over seven decades, Mahaffey Enterprises has been more than just a business—it's been a family legacy woven into the fabric of the Tri-Cities. Lincoln's son, Fred Lincoln Mahaffey, grew up in this region, excelling in athletics and becoming an Eagle Scout in 1964. After graduating from Pasco High School, he went on to wrestle at Columbia Basin College before joining the family business. For over 30 years, Fred continued his father's mission, contributing to many of the landmark projects that have defined our area.

Today, the family and community tradition continues through the third and fourth generations. Current partners Dustin Mahaffey (Fred's son), Joe Ennis (Fred's son-in-law), and Isaac Ennis (Fred's grandson) lead the company with the same passion and dedication that began in 1950. Our team includes extended family members like Clay Hansen, as well as friends and dedicated community members who share our vision. We pride ourselves on creating an environment where a unified community can work together to build the unimaginable.

As the "Ever-Growing" Tri-Cities continues its upward trajectory, so do we. Mahaffey Enterprises has been a trusted one-stop shop for construction and excavation for over 70 years, incorporated since 1982. We look forward to the many years ahead and the many opportunities to help build our beautiful community.
